This is an information about events in Russia and RCYL(b) activities. 2010-07-12 10:26:31 Ilya Sladkov
On June 22nd at half past 1 AM a bus specially rented by the Federation of Socialist Youth departed from the Baltic railway station in Leningrad. This was the start of the annual Rememberance Watch where representatives from the RCWP and RCYL(b) (a party flag was also present) took part. 2010-06-29 18:08:22 A present for United Russia Recently the State Duma, at the suggestion of the United Russia, for the third time passed a law which abolishes free primary school education. This reform was popularly tagged as the "commercialization of school". 2010-05-11 14:51:31 RCYL(B) - Moscow
On may 9 - Victory Day over Nazi Germany - left wing and patriotic organizations held a traditional march and rally headed by the CPRF (the official "communist party" in Russia). Similar demonstrations took place all over Russia, but were, as usual, overlooked by the mainstream mass media. The gathering point was on Pushkin Square and the march took place along Tverskaya street, on to Okhotniy Ryad past the Manezhnaya and Teatralnaya squares and ended with a rally on Lubianskaya square. The police, as usual, didn't allow people who were crowding in the side streets to join the march... 2007-12-25 15:18:08 On December 16 in Izhevsk a round table discussion was held to discuss the problems connected with education reforms. Some activists of the local trade-unions, members of RCYL(b) and RKRP-RPK, as well as some students of local universities took place in the discussion. The student trade-union chairman and his vice-chairman, who is a member of RCYL(b), gave reports.
The first speaker pointed out that the real goal of education reform is to make our country a part of the world economic system where the role of our country is to be a source of raw materials, and the social and scientific achievements of the USSR are of no value for the world market. He also talked about the consequences of the reforms - the loss of school’s pedagogical functions, loss of teaching staff, destruction of country schools and the appearance of homeless children and so on. The conclusions are not reassuring: these 15 years of reforms led to nothing but the loss of school’s soviet virtues such as its fundamental character and solidness. 2007-04-23 20:45:07 RCYL(B) - Leningrad On the so called International Day of Copyright Protection, the Revolutionary Youth League has held a picket at the office of the Russian Author’s Association. Not many people could participate, because the authorities set a quota at only 5 people! The aim of the picket was to draw society’s attention to the issue of freedom of information.
The Revolutionary Youth League’s calls were: Information should be accessible to all! and the Arts should belong to the people!. We do not support the battle against the so called pirating.
In its development level, our country has lowered to level of third world countries. Such fruits of civilization as free libraries, inexpensive admission to museums, inexpensive tickets to the theater and other cultural events, which used to be accessible to an average person, are today only a vague memory. The "democratic" regime doesn’t like the idea of the arts belonging to the people - this doesn’t bring in profit. First, they closed down a lot of the movie theaters... 2007-01-19 15:38:27 RCYL(B) - Bryansk On January 18 (2007) the incident with Proskurin Park in Bryansk came to an end. On the one hand it has a happy ending, on the other hand it was disappointing. Happy because we (group of activists and members of RCYL(b), SKM and CPRF) have saved the park. 2006-12-15 19:01:15 In the morning 13th December at the doors of Czech Consulate by RCYL(B) and FSM there was held another protest picket against illegal prohibition of Czech Komsomol. It was held in the framework of the single day of supporting KSM fixed by the World Federation of Democratic Youth. 2006-12-15 18:08:18 On Wednesday 13 December at the Estonian Consulate in Saint Petersburg there was held a meeting of RCYL(B) and RCLP-RPC against the fascist bill of "prohibition of the Soviet symbolic" and pulling down of the memorial to the Liberating Warrior. In the speeches of the orators it was underlined that there is no and there should not be any misunderstanding between the Russian and the Estonian peoples and all what is taking place today is the policy of bourgeois authorities of Estonia. In the hands of the meeting participants there were placard "Yes to the Friendship of Russians and Estonians, No to Fascist Revenge!" 2006-12-13 14:05:54 On the 13th of December the activists of the Moscow Branch of RCYL(B) held a short meeting near the Embassy of the Czech Republic. The meeting was devoted to the political repressions against KSM which has been officially forbidden by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of this country recently. 2006-12-12 22:56:02 On the 12th of December — Yeltsin’s Constitution Day — Moscow district section of Revolutionary Communist Youth League (Bolshevist) — RKSM(b) took part in three actions. First, we had a picket outside the Council of Federation (Upper Chamber of Russian parliament). Putin’s regime now refuses to observe even those rudimentary bourgeois-democratic rights that the 1993 Constitution declares. That’s why our main slogan was: "We will force you to abide by the Constitution!" |
